Claus finds inspiration, from a variety of truly, original local heroes that tell exciting visual stories of contrast and contradiction found in the environment around me. Cape Town is known for it’s bright color and even brighter characters. Black & white are the colors I choose as they have given this land its unique diverse history. Storytelling is a predominant thread in all my work, stories that might be provocative, intriguing and quite emotive. Claus_Steffen is in gallery every Tuesday for personal tours.
