The objective of the The Leap Collective is to create a community of collaborating artists. The focus of the collaborations are experimental art events and workshops that the collective plan, organize and host.
We aim to subvert the perception of the gallery space and artist collaboration by creating an alternative exhibition space that is focused on the desires of the artist. By contributing to our costs a subscription fee of R150,00, artists become part of this platform for three months and gain access to:
Space for performance artists to perform and document their work.
Space For visual artists to bring in their work and ideas for constructive critique.
Workshops and guided Art Sessions offered by the Collective- an opportunity for artists to be in creative communion and exchange skills.
Networking opportunities with other artists.
Online archive of artists and potential collaborators.
The Leap Collective’s online audience.
We believe through creating a safe space for artists we can make the art world a more accessible and inclusive space and write ourselves into history.
