Hylton Boucher is a photographer whose interests lie in the realms of fashion, music, and subculture. 

In 2013, Hylton completed his B.A. Degree in Photography at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography. The following year he co-founded the photographic crew agency, Cape Collective Assist. Hylton is represented by One League Creative Management in Cape Town

ON The  'SAME SAME' project

"I relished in the thought of creating my own character for this portrait. It falls in line with my overall view of the photographic portrait, the notion that no image can truly depict a person’s character; everything is left up to the viewer’s own mis/interpretation.

I chose to portray our mystery subject as a character borne out of habitual nature. I’ve always admired the individual habits that people stick to on the daily, thus I based my interpretation of it in the form of a swimming enthusiast, who starts their day off with a swim, come rain or shine.
